Host (Vendor) Agreement

This Host Agreement ("Agreement") is between you ("Host," "Vendor") and Bayti, LLC ("Bayt Muslim"). It applies whenever you list or provide a stay, retreat, experience, or Bayti meal on the Platform, and is in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Independent host
You are an independent provider. Nothing here creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship with Bayt Muslim. You control how you operate, set your own prices, and are responsible for your own business, taxes, and compliance.
2. Your listings
You represent that you have the right to offer everything you list and that your listings — including photos, descriptions, prices, availability, and Faith Standards badges — are accurate and not misleading. Bayt Muslim may review, approve, decline, reorder, or remove listings at its discretion.
3. Honoring bookings
When a Guest books and the booking is confirmed, you must honor it as described. Host cancellations harm Guests and the marketplace; repeated or last-minute cancellations may result in fees, lower placement, or removal.
4. Fees, payments & payouts
Bayt Muslim charges a service fee on bookings (disclosed in your host dashboard). Guest payments are collected through our payment provider, Stripe, and you receive payouts to your connected Stripe account after a booking is confirmed and any holdback or review period has passed. You authorize Bayt Muslim and Stripe to facilitate these payments, deduct applicable fees, and process refunds or chargebacks in line with our policies.
5. Taxes
Bayt Muslim does not collect or remit any taxes on your behalf. You must include all applicable taxes (such as sales, occupancy, tourist, and any other tax that applies) in the prices you set, and you are solely responsible for determining, collecting, reporting, and remitting those taxes, as well as your own income taxes, arising from your listings. Bayt Muslim may issue tax forms (such as a 1099) where required.
6. Legal compliance & safety
You must comply with all laws and obtain any permits, licenses, registrations, and insurance required to offer your listing (including short-term-rental rules, HOA/lease restrictions, food-safety and cottage-food laws for meals, and health and safety requirements). You are responsible for the safety and condition of your space and what you provide.
If you offer meals (Bayti meals): you represent that you comply with applicable food-safety and cottage-food laws, you accurately disclose ingredients and major allergens on request, and you understand that cottage food (home-prepared food) is not inspected by the state or local health department — a notice Guests are shown. You are responsible for the safety of the food you prepare.
7. Insurance
Bayt Muslim does not provide insurance for Hosts. You are responsible for maintaining adequate insurance for your property and activities.
8. Treat guests fairly
You will treat Guests with respect and will not unlawfully discriminate. The Platform exists to serve the Muslim community with dignity and hospitality.
9. No off-platform circumvention
For bookings initiated on Bayt Muslim, you agree not to divert Guests off-platform to avoid fees, and not to solicit Bayt Muslim Guests for off-platform transactions.
10. Content license
You grant Bayt Muslim a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and promote your listing content to operate and market the Platform.
11. Liability & indemnity
The agreement for any booking is between you and the Guest. You are responsible for your listings and conduct, and you agree to indemnify and hold Bayt Muslim harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your listings, your provision of services, your taxes, or your breach of this Agreement or the law. Bayt Muslim's liability to you is limited as described in the Terms of Service.
12. Suspension & termination
You may stop listing at any time. Bayt Muslim may suspend, deactivate, or remove your account or listings for violations of this Agreement, the Terms, the law, or to protect Guests and the community.
13. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and disputes will be handled as described in the Terms of Service.
14. Acceptance
By publishing a listing, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Agreement.
