Guest (Renter) Agreement

This Guest Agreement ("Agreement") is between you ("Guest," "Renter") and Bayti, LLC ("Bayt Muslim"). It applies whenever you book a stay, retreat, experience, or Bayti meal on the Platform, and is in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Your booking is with the Host
When you book, you enter a direct agreement with the Host who provides the listing. Bayt Muslim facilitates the booking and payment but is not the provider and is not a party to that agreement.
2. Payment authorization
By confirming a booking, you authorize a charge for the listing price plus the Bayt Muslim service fee, processed through our payment provider, Stripe. Any taxes that apply to a booking are included by the Host in the listing price — Bayt Muslim does not separately collect or remit taxes. You confirm you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
3. Faith Standards & house rules
Listings display Faith Standards badges and Host rules. These reflect what the Host commits to and are not guaranteed by Bayt Muslim. For anything essential to you, confirm directly with the Host before booking. You agree to follow the Host's house rules and respect the space and neighbors.
4. Occupancy & conduct
Use the listing only as booked and for the number of guests reserved. Do not use it for unlawful, unsafe, or disruptive purposes. You are responsible for the conduct of anyone you bring.
5. Damage & responsibility
Leave the space as you found it. You are responsible for loss or damage you or your party cause, and the Host may seek reimbursement for such damage.
6. Cancellations & refunds
Each listing's cancellation policy applies to your booking and is shown before you pay. Eligible refunds are returned to your original payment method, less non-refundable fees where applicable. If a Host cancels a confirmed booking, you are entitled to a refund of amounts paid for that booking.
7. Assumption of risk & release
You understand that Bayt Muslim does not own, operate, inspect, or control listings, and does not guarantee any Host, space, meal, or experience. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you use listings at your own risk and release Bayt Muslim from claims arising out of a Host's space, services, or conduct. Bayt Muslim's liability to you is limited as described in the Terms of Service.
8. Reviews
You may leave honest, lawful reviews. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and must not be abusive or false.
9. Food, allergens & home-cooked meals
Bayti meals are prepared by independent home cooks. Cottage food: home-prepared food is not inspected by the state or local health department. Bayt Muslim does not inspect kitchens, verify ingredients, or confirm allergen handling. If you have allergies, sensitivities, or dietary or religious requirements, confirm them directly with the Host before booking. You assume the risk of consuming any meal.
10. Identity verification is not a guarantee
Guests verify their identity (a government ID and a matching selfie) through our verification provider before booking. Verification confirms identity only — it is not a background check and is not a guarantee of any person's conduct, safety, or suitability. Use good judgment and follow common-sense safety practices.
11. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless Bayt Muslim (Bayti, LLC) and Hosts from claims, damages, losses, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of a listing, your conduct, or your breach of this Agreement or the law.
12. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and disputes will be handled as described in the Terms of Service.
13. Acceptance
By confirming a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Agreement.
