This Privacy Policy explains how Bayti, LLC ("Bayt Muslim," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, mobile apps, and services (the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

Account information — name, email, and authentication identifiers. Sign-in is handled by our identity provider, Clerk, including Sign in with Apple and Google. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email," we receive a private relay email rather than your real address.
Listing & booking information — listings, photos, dates, party size, prices, and booking details you provide as a Host or Guest.
Payment information — payments and Host payouts are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles card data under its own terms and PCI compliance.
Messages — communications between Guests and Hosts sent through the Platform.
Usage & device data — basic, privacy-friendly analytics (via Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites), plus device and log information needed to operate and secure the Platform.

How we use information

To provide the Platform: create accounts, show listings, process bookings and payouts, and enable messaging.
For trust & safety: verify listings, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms and Faith Standards.
To communicate: booking confirmations, service updates, and (with your consent where required) news about Bayt Muslim.
To improve the Platform and understand aggregate usage.

How we share information

Between Guests and Hosts — the information needed to complete and manage a booking.
Service providers — Stripe (payments), Clerk (authentication), hosting and analytics providers, acting on our behalf.
Legal — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Platform.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices & rights

You may access, correct, or delete your account information, and request a copy of your data, by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of these, email hello@baytmuslim.com.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Children

The Platform is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
